The Australian Historical Directory contains in its 164 pages over 4,000 entries arranged by State by name. Entries consist of name, address, telephone, fax, e-mail address, Internet address, and a short function description. The validation date of contact details is also indicated for entries, where applicable. It includes as a research aid a location index which lists all entry names in post code order. This allows all listed activities and contacts in a geographical area of interest quickly to be identified.

The latest (4th) edition was published late 1996, and sold for $33.00. There have been the inevitable changes in addresses and such, of course, and even though our database is being constantly updated and expanded (now over 5,000 entries) we do not know when it will be possible for us to print a new edition. Because of the ageing of data, we now are offering the current remaining 4th edition copies at a reduced price of $20.00 (posted, prepaid, cheques made payable to R.S. and A.F. Reid).
