The Kununurra Lace Group was formed in March 2005 by Alice Cunningham and Janet McLean, both former members of the now defunct Ord Twisters.

The group in 2009 now has a regular membership of 7 adults with an recent influx of 4 children who are learning the basics of bobbin lace.
