Reading a International Colour Coded Torchon Lace Pattern/Diagram

In recent years it has become more common for the lace designer to provide not only the pattern, written instructions and a picture of the finished lace but also working diagrams and colour coded diagrams. All to aid you in making lace.

The longer you make lace the less instructions you will need, but in the beginning and as our memories hicup it is useful to have working and/or colour coded diagrams.

Comparing the following 2 International Colour Coded Working Diagrams and note where they differ.

There is a PDF that holds patterns made from this - a length, circle and square - none of which have been sample tested but are provided in case you want to make them.
